Earn Florida CLE Credits

In addition to modernizing your legal skillset, participating in Suffolk Law’s Legal Innovation & Technology Certificate allows Florida Bar members to earn CLE credits required from the Florida Bar.

COVID19 Update: Due to the pandemic, the Florida Bar is not currently accepting applications for CLE course consideration/approval and therefore CLE credits will not be available for any of our courses for summer 2020. As of July 2018, the six courses that the Florida Bar has approved are:

Process Improvement and Legal Project Management
General — 12 credits

21st Century Legal Services
General — 12 credits, includes:

  • Legal Ethics — 2 Credits
  • Technology — 2 Credits

Legal Operations
General — 12 credits, includes:

  • Technology — 2.5 credits

Business of Delivering Legal Services
General — 12 credits, includes:

  • Technology — 1 credit

 

Design Thinking for Legal Professionals
General — 12 credits

Legal Technology Toolkit
General — 12 credits, includes:

  • Technology — 2 credits

Florida CLE Requirements Overview

Under new rules, effective January 1, 2017, Florida attorneys must complete a total of 33 credit hours of approved continuing legal education every three years.

  • At least 5 of the 33 credits must be classified as Legal Ethics, Professionalism, Bias Elimination, Substance Abuse, or Mental Illness Awareness.
  • At least 3 of the 33 credits must be classified as Technology.

Attorneys in Florida must report their attendance credits by logging into their Member Portal on the Florida Bar website and entering the course reference IDs they were provided upon completion of the programs. For complete details, see the Florida Bar’s official website.
